Mark, why don't you use a hotmail or googlemail eddress? mind you ifn you cannot login then maybe you cannot add it to the contact page

I have a new Email address, but can't get it swapped onto my site.
Hopefully it'll be all done next week.

I've just been updating my website and in the process have manually checked all the personal website links (after spending 20 mins finding the page) and deleted the 20 ish that no longer work.

Trouble is, since the migration, every time I leave a page, I get logged out and can't edit the page.
Then when I log in, it automatically takes me to the forum so I click wiki and i get logged out again!

On the grounds that it's driving me mad, I've pasted the HTML below in the hope that someone more patient/intelligent/lucky than me will be able to stay logged on long enough to alter the page.

I have similar issues ... if I log on to the forum, I'm not logged on to the wiki.  If I log in to the wiki I get redirected to the forum and when I click the link for the wiki I'm logged out.  I think that's got a lot to do with the unusual browser I use (although it's supposed to be based on Chrome)

If I log in to the the wiki with Fire Fox I can stay logged in and visit various pages without being kicked out.

It used to be that logging on to either the wiki or the forum would allow you to stay logged on to both platforms.

Now you can log on to the forum but when you click the link for the wiki you go to that page but you are logged out.  Similarly logging on whilst in the wiki takes you to the forum and when you click a link to go back to the wiki, you're logged out again.

I don't have a clue how to fix it.

This is most strange.  I managed to get logged into the wiki, but I had to do it in firefox via a search and go direct to the wiki and use the log in panel that's in the middle of the page.  Now I appear to be permanently logged in.

I can go to wiki pages and click edit, but when I try and save a page I get the message ...

Quote
Sorry! We could not process your edit due to a loss of session data. Please try again. If it still does not work, try logging out and logging back in.

I can't see an option to log out of the wiki and if I use any of the menu buttons I appear to be logged out, but if I close the window, search biopowered and go to the wiki again I'm still logged in.

I previously thought the main page looked different, but couldn't work out how ... now I realise that the left hand tool bar that contained all the links to "Special pages", "Recent changes", "Upload files" etc. is missing.

Although we can view the wiki we don't appear to be able to do any more than that.

Just tried again using Chrome and same old same old for me, just throws me back to forum.

I did notice that just above to the left of the sign in, the link info said
'Biopowered - vegetable oil and biodiesel forum » Login'
so maybe the login button is just linking to the wrong thing?
Even if that is the case, how do we fix it if we can't log in?

I think the Wiki is stuck in status quo and may eventually be defunct unless we can find someone who properly knows what they're doing?

with my limited knowledge it looks like a permission thing eg it says you must be a member of the users group to be granted edit access to edit, is there anyone who are members of the admin group on the site able to edit or check the permissions of the user group etc

just a thought.

Two or three admin have tried with no success.

There's something that links the login of the wiki to the forum and that appears to have been lost in the hosting change.

Don't know how but managed to get onto the Wiki and it said I was signed in but when I tried to edit the page it said ....

Sorry! We could not process your edit due to a loss of session data. Please try again. If it still does not work, try logging out and logging back in.

Of course, as soon as I logged out I couldn't get back in!

I think the trick is to go direct to the wiki without visiting the forum, but it's a bit futile as it won't let you save an edited page.
