Anyone know how are Lowara BGM 3/A pumps are with bio? Just picked a new unused one up for £50 last minute for use on my wash/drying tank.

Since getting it I've seen the specs say max temp of 40c, but need it over that when drying.

Unfortunately it's a jet pump with technopolymer (PPO) diffuser and ejector.  Both Mark and myself have tried similar and bio softens the material until it fails.

ohhh, I'll have a bid on those!

but... with £499 BIN I'm guessing he'll have set a high reserve price

always the same with booster sets, they're silly money new so people try to sell them for a lot.... not realising all the people buying them new (factories etc.) always buy new, and they're not much good to people at home :-o

Another nice little Calpeda TAM105-a-like in Colechester for £25.  Comes with some sort of motorised valve.

If any of you ever spot one of the calpeda C4 series, that's the one im after.

I got tired of cleaning out my multistage grundfos units, and went back to a TAM, but those single stage calpeda's can handle up to 4mm solids.

Either they dont come up or ive got my search terms on ebay all wrong!

They are 3kW which is a little excessive for most home biodiesel projects :)

Anyone near Maryport fancy a big gear pump?

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Rietschle-pump-lube-oil-transfer-WPB-25-20/183263706637

Comes with motor end of the coupling, just needs replacement motor.

Don't see gear pumps that size on eBay very often.
