Yet another pumps thread

£30 seems a good price considering what they do go for.  By all accounts they are somewhere in the 50-66lpm range when unloaded.  Should be well suited for processor pumping.

Don't you start, I get enough flack from Mrs. Bio Rich and friends in the village.

Even the building inspector, who came to sign off the log burner yesterday, asked when I might have it finished ... blissfully I'm working to building regs of 13 years ago!

Ah - yes - you're right.  Well spotted.

What about this one then?  Looks interesting:

I've probably spent more on pumps than the rest of my plant put together, and I only use three of them!

No idea on that, and can't find a datasheet for it.  It looks a little like a jet pump but the CH range are multistage centrifugal?

How about this fellow for the new plant?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Water-Pump-/261018418894

36 litres per second, does draw 18kW though.

Actually, found data for it:

http://www.heatweb.com/products/pumps/CHi.pdf

He's listed it wrong, it's a CHI 2-60.

6 stages, all stainless, topping out at just under 60lpm.  Bet it would push a fair pressure!

Did you see this one?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GMP-cast-iron-water-pump-semi-trash-/150807897081

270lpm, not bad from a 1hp motor.

Those Calpedas have been around and around, this must be the tenth time he's listed them (without reducing the price!)
